Facilitation
If you are looking for someone to Facilitate an arts-based workshop, Focus group, or community/live event please reach out and we can see how we can collaborate.
My practise is centred around an afro-feminist and decolonial approach, as I believe that centring the most marginalised gives room for everyone to be free.

Consent, Boundary setting and the Law workshop programme at Bolingbroke Academy- Year 10 and 11’s -April - May 2023
I co-facilitated a five week workshop programme that explored consent, boundary setting and the law with the young people. These workshops encouraged the young people to debate and share their ideas throughout the workshops and were tasked with different scenarios to address topics of healthy relationships. They created monologues around difficult friendship situations and then had discussions on how they would overcome it. They had debates around what consists of a good friendship and personal beliefs. Explored boundary setting through activities such as body mapping, speakers corner and writing and devising scenes. This work was inspired by the work of Green and Conrad. The workshops also looked at their human rights and how they can use them and formed part of research for my MA dissertation that looked into facilitating healthy relationships for young people.
Peckham Harris Co-creative project - Year 8’s -November-December 2022
I co-facilitated a 7-week workshop with year 8s in November 2022 on a devised co-created project on the impacts of living in a technological world and this was put on at the backstage theatre at Mountview. In these workshop sessions I was able to get the young people to gain skills such as public speaking, singing and touched on movement practices. This shows that I have experience working with young people using drama interventions/techniques to allow them to put on a show that is routed in their ideas and interests. An evaluation process was also conducted alongside this using both qualitative and quantitative feedback to analyse the workings of the project done either through weekly check ins and check outs with the young people and feedback questions on the workshops at the end of the 7 weeks.
Peckham Harris primary, dealing with grief performance and workshop June 2022
I co-facilitated and co-created a workshop session and performance on grief in June 2022 using the story of Michael Rosen’s ‘Sad book. This allowed a class of 7–8-year old’s to come up with solutions on dealing with grief. The children were extremely receptive and even got involved in creating a different ending to the performance in order to deal with grief. As this was a really sensitive subject, thinking about well-being and using a trauma informed approach really informed my practice and how I went about introducing this subject to these young children. I drew off material’s from both Kazzum arts and Clean break theatre company in designing this programme.
Amplified Arts Academy -Act age 10 - 15 - Acing Teaching -September 2023 ongoing
I facilitate a weekly acting class for 11–15-year old’s as part of a performing arts charity Amplified arts academy, every week focusing on developing their acting skills. We are currently doing a scene from Mogadishu looking at peer pressure, bullying and racism and how that can impact us in our daily lives, as well as looking at empathy through the eyes of those who do bad things. This further shows that I work in a way that prompts young people to engage with hard topics in a ‘safe’ environment with the use of acting techniques and am committed to building long term relationships as I have been working with this organisation for over 2 years and can see the young people’s growth.
